Populonia
Populonia is a fraction of the town of Piombino. His town stands in a dominant position on top of one of the headlands that make up the Gulf of Baratti, where there are some fortifications of the fifteenth century, dating back to the Lords of Piombino, Appiani as can be seen from the dragon symbol of the family, which is placed above the entrance to the village. The past Populonia binds to Etruscan settlements, the only of its kind to be located on the coast.
